The Photographic Wiring of Henrik Isaksson Garnell
Henrik Isaksson Garnell was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1987. He spent his childhood just 2 miles outside of Stockholm, and currently lives and works in a house situated in a forest outside of his childhood city.  He trained as a photographer at Kulturama Higher Photography Education and then went on to work as an assistant to established photographers from 2007-2014. Garnell’s unique approach to photography stems from his desire to create a new lifeform and puts sculpture as the most important aspect of his images.

Photographic Inventions and Sculpting with a Camera Lens
Henrik as a photographer is superbulous, to say the least, but it is the genius ideology found in his digital creations that leaves us speechless. If there was any doubt as to his thought process, one simply has to try an specify his type of photography, or define its photographic composition. It is the ease with which he moves between surrealism and concretism without compromising on quality that enables one to wonder as to whether or not the image portrayed is in fact that of a living, breathing organism. His combination of living organisms with wires and nuts and bolts sets the perfect stage for Garnell’s daydreams and nightmares, which he combines in perfect unison without boundaries, and abandons the acceptable norm to fulfill his creativity.

Nature Meets Technology
Most refer to Henrik’s works as nature meets technology, but there is much more to it than the simple combination of elements. Breathing life not only into inanimate objects but also into the photographic world is how one could best describe Henrik Isaksson Garnell.Â
