Multi-Talented Artist
Michał Biegański is a young multi-talented artist born in 1986 in Poland in Piotrków Trybunalski. His artistic path started very early. When he was a young boy, he was interested in reading comic books, drawing and coloring superheroes. During early teenage days, Michał discovered the other side of his artistic personality. He started writing poems and recite them, and, as time goes, teachers even organized special classes for those who wanted to interpret his poetry. He also played drums in two bends. Michał has been surrounded by music since he was a child – his father was a musician too. At the time he studied at the University of Lodz (Film Studies), he began with editing, post-production and camera work and started creating short films, music videos and photography. His first awarded work was his music video for Canadian band Half Moon Run, shown in Aesthetica Short Film Festival in 2013.

Artistic Life of Michal Bieganski
Michał Biegański spent his childhood in a town called Rozprza. The first time he met camera was at the age of eight – he took initial photos with the 35 mm camera. But, this “first love” didn’t last. As the photographer said in one interview, his adventure with the camera began when he was 18. In the beginning, he pictured family events and meetings with his friends, but during the college days, his music profession gave him entrance into the world of photography and video editing. He started filming and photographing music concerts.
Concerts sensitized me on journalistic dynamics and showed frameworks that characterized the camera lens.

Człowiek-Kamera: I Call Myself “Camera Man”
Michał Biegański calls himself Człowiek-Kamera or “Camera Man“, not to tell us about the power or strength of superheroes, but to emphasize his own vision of an ideal photographer. The nickname highlights the synthesis of the man and photo equipment, “a synthesis of human eye’s sensibility and technical perfection of the camera lens.”
The photographer is well known for his surreal photography work. His series of photos tell constant search as the way of life of the artist. The collection Conceptual shows different subjects surrounded by the natural environment. The conceptual approach to photography inspired Michał to show a mystical and dreamlike kind of life. The series of photos with human hands on the black surface has a symbolic name – Portals. Those subject are incorporated in the picture of the seashores or sandy beaches to show us the reality that can be created by our own wishes and dreams. In the language of the art – everything is possible if you have the courage to imagine it.
