Artistic Background
Valentin Chenaille is a young French photographer born in Paris. He first started shooting when he was 15. The talented photographer grew up in a family where love for the photography already existed – some members of the artist’s family are photographers as well. This affected the early beginning of his work, so was his curiosity and intention to explore new things and express himself. Valentinerie – the artistic name of the photographer – is currently based in Lyon working as a specialist for Apple, but he is considering moving to Sweden or US – to meet new people and explore interesting places.

Simple and Pure – Fashion Photography by Valentin Chenaille
Valentin works also as a fashion photographer. The young photographer agenda is to “tell the original story”, so he found the balance between commercial photography and the artistic one:
I work to tell a story in relation with everything that composes the scene: the clothes, the model, the pose, the place, and also little details like the position of hands or fingers.
Valentin highlights specific elements, for example, the position of the woman’s legs on a fade background or the fingers gently arise from the milky or cloudy water.

Details
Valentin Chenaille series of photographs represent a magical world of the beauty of the women’s bodies. In his photos, faces and bodies of the models are not only just the objects of shooting. As he said, he chooses details. His photos portray details in a unique way. Photographs are animated through composition and artist’s bold playing with the luminosity, shades and hue.
